Weekly ‘wine’ down: A totty and a hot totty

Happy Friday!

We are headed out-of-town this weekend to visit with family. Yeah!

Plus, the pups will get to play with a new family member this weekend, as my dad got a puppy. That should be interesting. I’ll let you know how it goes.

But, first, let’s ‘wine’ down with some favorites from around the web!

To DIY:

I absolutely love following this fashion/ lifestyle blogger!
Not only is she my age (yes! trust me-it’s rare), married, and has no children but she’s very pretty, has naturally curly hair (like me), has 2 adorable pooches (that she got after losing one dear to her heart), and lives in a picturesque part of California, with mountains, and snow, and lakes, something I don’t see a lot of on the coast. We have a lot of similarities!
She occasionally comes up with these awesome DIY’s that, trust me, are not hard!
This one is too cute…the hard part will be finding a pair of shoes to do this with!
I agree with the blogger…these would be really cute for Christmas attire and parties!
And, be sure to scan through some of her fashion posts on her site (Very talented) and don’t forget to swoon at those cute adorable pups!

To watch (again):

We love SNL! We can’t stay up that late (and hate commercials) to watch it so we record it and watch it the next day.
Did you catch this skit last weekend?
It is absolutely hilarious and probably explains my condition…sometimes.
Her songs have a way of getting in your head and the next thing you know you are singing or humming it and you are like ‘WTH’?!?!?!?!?
Watch it! A guaranteed laugh.

To store in my memory bank:

This is good info to know as I’m always curious if the store I’m about to walk into with the pooches actually allows pets.
I think I’m curious because if they ask me to leave (realizing I don’t take them inside stores with food-I know that’s wrong) I will in turn ask them why and could go off about how well-mannered and clean my pets are (more so than some adults).
I definitely need to remember this…because sometimes you can’t leave them in the car.

To eat:

One of my favorite food bloggers has turned out what looks like another great recipe!
I think I may have to put this on the menu next week!

That’s it! That’s all I got!
Let’s finish with a warm hot totty, since we have cooler temps, again!
Heck, I could be craving a pina colada next week with these crazy temps!

Clint Eastwood's son :O

Oops! No! Not that kind of ‘hot totty’…although he is hot! Nice stogie!
Btw-that’s Scott Eastwood, Clint Eastwood’s son! See the resemblance???!

cinnamon toast hot tottie :)

This kind of hot totty! This sounds delightfully warm and comforting…with a stogie, of course! čÖé

Weekly ‘wine down’: A pic, app, quote and (festive) drink!

Whoop whoop!
It’s Friday and to make it better, for some of us, it’s a longgg holiday weekend!
Can I just say “Thank you Columbus!”

Let’s wine down with some internet favorites from this past week:

To attempt:

Is this not the cutest picture ever?
No, that’s not my babies but…..
Coming to a facebook or instagram feed near you…if I can get my 2 to cooperate! (btw-I envision Desi being the one in the pink-I love how it is covering up her eyes and she’s still standing there, with a smile)

This article provides a list of some great apps to use.
The hubby uses the Waze app that the article refers to. It’s works great! Drivers let you know of cops, roadblocks, accidents, delays, etc… in your driving area, which is especially helpful in metro cities. Did I mention that it alerts you for cops (aka speed traps) in the area? Power in the people!

To watch (again):
This short, hilarious video is seriously funny…and familiar? Anyone else have this ‘male’ problem in there household? I swear I think they are born with this trait.

To cook:

Do you love your slow cooker as much as I do? If not, you need to get one that you love. Do it. Now….I will wait!
A slow cooker is a woman’s (especially a working woman’s) best friend and I promise you that I will post many a slow cooker recipe here.
Also, have you ever had or cooked spaghetti squash? Not only is it delicious, especially topped with marinara meat sauce (like spaghetti with meatballs), but it is super easy to prepare.
Normally, I cook it in the oven for 1 hour on 400. But, I think I will have to give this method a try sometime.
And, hey…don’t knock that spaghetti squash marinara recipe until you’ve tried it. I promise you that you won’t be able to tell the difference in the squash and pasta. Plus, it’s healthy and low carb-ing! (If that’s your thing)

Last, here are some snippets from my own home and my fall-ish decorating.
Honestly, it’s hard to decorate for fall when it’s pushing 90 degrees outside! Ugh!
I don’t change things up too much for fall. Basically, I change┬á the couch pillow covers, put those great velvet TJ Maxx find pumpkins on my mantle (with added starfish, of course), throw out some sunflowers in a mason jar, and I change out my front door wreath.
Speaking of…I made that cute wheat wreath from last week’s Weekly Wine Down for the front door (note: mine looks a little wimpy in size compared to the original- but I still like it! Plus, that’s all I had patience for! )!

That’s it! Have a great longggggg weekend!
Be sure to get some movement (aka exercise) in! It will do you good. Plus, you can take in the beautiful fall foliage (if you have any…which we don’t).
